Being at home with my babies were the best days. I am grateful for the luxury of be a stay-at-home mother. To keep us both active, stimulated and reduce cabin fever. So get out and try it, here is what I did on a weekly basis.
Library Story Time.
Libraries often have a designated children’s story time. This helps to start encouraging your little one’s love of reading and imagination at a young age. Plus, it’s one of the few times you don’t have to worry whether your baby could get fussy and disrupt a quiet library. It’s already full of excited, and probably noisy, little ones!
These story times often encourage moms and dads to visit again and again. This is a great way to make a few mommy friends, which will end up being beneficial in so many ways.
Daily Walk to the Playground.
A daily walk to the playground is great exercise for you and a fun adventure for your baby. The day can always be filled with different sights and sounds. You will enjoy getting out of the house and your baby will enjoy the fresh air and relaxing ride.
Of course, as your little one grows the destination will be their favorite part. As they get older they can enjoy the baby swings and it will only add to the fun.
Enjoy a Coffee on the Patio
A visit to your local coffee shop is sometimes just the pick-me-up you need on some days. A little jolt of caffeine and new surroundings is great on a day when the walls are closing in around you at home.
Enjoy a cup on the patio to bask in the sunshine during your visit. Your little one will enjoy sitting out in the sun and the new scenery. Plus, one-on-one time with mom is always fun for your baby!
Mommy and Me Yoga
Yoga is a very beneficial activity for new moms. Yoga is a great way to exercise your body, develop flexibility and strength, and release stress and tension. Plus, exercise always helps to boost your mood. Babies really benefit from this bonding experience with mom. They really relish in physical contact and will enjoy the new experience each time.
