Hey guys so it’s been years! A lot has happened Hey guys so it’s been years! A lot has happened and just wanted to show my face because the plan is for you to see more of me. I don’t know if you’ve really checked out the blog, but it’s a lot of what I’ve been doing and feeling and going through the last two years ie. divorce, self love etc and more exciting things to come. Letting go of this imposter syndrome to be more open and share more of me because I like to be behind the scenes, not in front so here we go! In the meantime, check out my latest in link above 👆🏽K bye!

For sometime as a new mother, I devoted so much of For sometime as a new mother, I devoted so much of myself to my kids. But now that I am a little more seasoned, with three kids, I have now embraced doing what makes me happy. Whether that’s going in the room shutting the door and having some me time, hang out with my friends, or enrolling in a new class. ⠀
⠀
Maintaining peace and experiencing new things is my mantra. So mamas, keep doing what makes you happy. Mommy guilt can come up, but it’s OK as long as you are doing things that continue to make you a better person which in turn, will make you a better mom.⠀

A previous “Listening to Mother’s” survey fo A previous “Listening to Mother’s” survey found that 49% of people who used a warm bath during labor described it as “very helpful” for pain relief, and 32% of people who used a shower during labor described that as “very helpful”.⠀
⠀
The good thing about water immersion during labor is that there doesn’t seem to be any side effects. Also, evidence shows that water immersion during labor increases people’s satisfaction with their childbirth and their sense of privacy and comfort.⠀

Motherhood is challenging for every mom no matter Motherhood is challenging for every mom no matter their socioeconomic status. Good days and harder days are apart of life. It can be easier if we confide in someone who shares the same experiences to help us realize, we are Not alone. ⠀

When I first became a mom, my wellness was not my When I first became a mom, my wellness was not my priority. I stopped doing all the things I once did. Once I was pregnant it was all about preparing for my son. Which classes to take, cloth diapers or not, water birth or not. I can go on and on, but I was consumed and it only got worse when he was born because then it’s really All about baby. ⠀

I love being a mother and caring for someone so much, but at the same time, I didn’t realize I had to equally care for myself. Two amazing more kids later, I arrived at my acupuncturist where she checks my pulse and after hearing me rant, she said “You are depleted” ... It shocked me because I never realized that could be me. I do what I have to do, how is that depleting? ⠀
⠀
As maturing a women and mother, I learned I need to make time alone to reconnect with myself. Whether it’s reading, doing my hair, getting acupuncture, going to the gym, taking a nap, whatever. My goal is to maintain homeostasis and remain connected to ME. ⠀
⠀
Time to sit, reflect and continue to do all the things I enjoy will help me be a good person, a good mother, a good wife, a great doula. But I have to make MY WELLNESS a PRIORITY. ⠀
